This article in the Carry Guard Magazine Issue 2 took me about two weeks to get to where I was happy with it. It's about the history of the NRA and it's association with self-defense training in the United States since the beginning. The article is full of interesting points in history. Much of the imagery is from historical documents, and really helped add to the grit of this article. I wanted the story to have an abstract timeline feel that focused on the anatomy of firearms training and the influence it had on our history.
